About Me
Who I Am
I’m Azri, a front-end developer who loves building modern, fast, and reliable web experiences. I’m big on clean UI, tidy architecture, and making sure every site I touch feels smooth, responsive, and genuinely pleasant to use. Since 2022, I’ve been working across global brands and government platforms, shipping quality work without the unnecessary drama.
I blend creativity with technical discipline — modular systems, performance-focused builds, and scalable components are my bread and butter. Whether it’s enterprise websites, digital platforms, or full-stack projects, I’m here to deliver something polished, purposeful, and properly put together.
My Journey
How I got started and what shaped my path
How It Started
2022
Got into front-end development properly in 2022. Started with the basics, got obsessed with UI, performance, and building things that don’t break randomly. Spent countless late nights learning, experimenting, and figuring out how modern web architecture actually works.
First Big Step — British Franchise Association
Not long after
I landed the front-end responsibility for thebfa.org. This was where everything levelled up — real users, real deadlines, real consequences. I learned how to maintain a large-scale site, ship updates smoothly, and keep quality consistent over years, not days.
Exploring the Bigger World — NYM Explorer
2023
Around this time, I dipped my toes into blockchain tech and built the front-end for NYM’s explorer. Learned how to visualise complex data, keep UI responsive under real-time loads, and design around systems that evolve quickly.
Going Deeper — IT Consultant at Kemnaker (via AMB)
2024
I started consulting for Kemnaker, rebuilding Astaka.id into something faster, sturdier, and genuinely modern. This was when I realised I wasn’t just “making websites” — I was building platforms with real impact, used by real people across the country.
Finding My Style — ModularShift
2025
Then came ModularShift, where I created a modular, performance-focused front-end system. This project really shaped my development style: clean structure, reusable components, smart architecture, and a performance-first mindset.
Where I’m Heading
Now
Right now, I’m aiming to push further into modern frameworks, system design, and performance engineering — basically anything that helps me build cleaner, smarter, and faster digital experiences. Still learning, still levelling up, still enjoying the process.
My Values
What drives me and guides my work
Efficiency
I build systems that save time — modular, reusable, and scalable. No wasted effort, no over-engineered nonsense.
Quality Design
A clean interface isn’t just aesthetic; it’s functional. I focus on layout clarity, UX flow, and design decisions that actually make sense for real users.
Clean Code
Readable, maintainable, and consistent code. Structure first, chaos never. Future devs (including me) shouldn’t suffer.
Collaboration
Great work comes from clear communication and shared goals. I work openly, ask the right questions, and make sure everyone’s aligned before shipping.
Beyond Code
What I enjoy outside of development
When I’m not buried in components or chasing performance scores, I like to step away from the screen and touch some grass — literally.
Hiking & Nature Escapes
I’m a big fan of hiking, especially the ones that don’t require a full expedition plan. Bali makes it ridiculously easy — one minute you’re looking at Tailwind docs, the next you’re standing on a hill with a view that makes you forget deadlines even exist.
The quiet, the breeze, the sound of leaves doing their thing — it’s the perfect antidote to yelling at a compiler error. I love trails that lead somewhere open and calm, where you can just sit, breathe, and let your brain unclench for a bit.
Spontaneous Escapes
I’ve got a habit of doing short, random escapes — nothing fancy, nothing planned out. Sometimes it’s a quick ride to a hidden beach, sometimes it’s a random detour through a village I’ve never been to, sometimes it’s just finding a small spot with good vibes and better coffee.
Bali’s the kind of place where a “short break” can turn into a whole reset. The scenery changes fast, and so does the energy. These little moments away from code keep me balanced, and honestly make me a kinder person to my own commits.
Sunrise & Evening Recharge Moments
Every now and then, I catch the sunrise — not because I’m one of those “5am grinder” types, but because Bali sunrises slap differently. It’s calm, clean, and just quiet enough for me to think about life, projects, or absolutely nothing at all.
Evenings are the same. A slow walk, a bit of music, maybe a quick sit by the water — it’s like hitting the reset button before diving into the next sprint.
Why It Matters
Tech is creative work, and creativity needs space.
Stepping out gives me perspective, clears mental clutter, and helps me come back to my projects with new ideas instead of recycled frustration.
Those escapes — whether it’s a hike, a ride, or just a quiet corner somewhere — make me a better thinker, a calmer dev, and someone who actually enjoys the process instead of sprinting to burnout.
In Short
I code hard, but I unplug harder.
And the balance between the two is exactly what keeps me moving forward.
